Holly E. Dodson is a Geological Researcher working on the Visualizing Earth and EarthKAM Projects. She has previously worked on instructional development projects at UC Santa Barbara and taught mathematics and natural science in the public schools. Her responsibilities for Visualizing Earth included Earth Science curriculum design, working as the teacher liaison with local teachers, conducting classroom observations, collecting and processing student data, web content development, researching current technologies for web development, procuring digital data, and facilitating community outreach and service. She also collaborates with the San Diego Supercomputer Center on GIS development for the Visualizing Earth and EarthKAM Projects. For EarthKAM, she functions as the NASA field representative working with teachers both in the local (Irvine and San Diego counties) region, and across the entire country.
