Paula Levin is Graduate Adviser and Lecturer with Security of Employment in the Teacher Education Program at the University of California, San Diego (1988-present). In these capacities, she is responsible for directing the M.A. in Teaching and Learning program in which K-12 classroom teachers systematically develop and evaluate teaching and learning activities and materials. Dr. Levin received her Ph.D. in Anthropology, and has conducted research on schooling in the United States, as well as on issues of schooling and culture in French Polynesia and Papua New Guinea. Her writings have addressed curriculum design and educational program evaluation, and the social and cultural factors related to school performance.
